Carla Bange is currently HR Compliance Manager at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI). This is a new role for her and a new position on the HR team at GA-ASI. She is excited about the opportunity and the challenge of the seemingly continual addition of new responsibilities to her role everyday!

Carla celebrates 22 years of HR management experience this year! She has generalist experience in a variety of settings including union & non-union environments and large- & small-sized companies, in both the manufacturing and service industries. Previously, Carla held the position of HR Director at TEAL Electronics Corporation in Sorrento Valley.

Carla received her BSBA from SDSU, and her MBA from Centenary College, Shreveport, LA, in 1998. She served as a board member of the NW Louisiana SHRM chapter for several years, serving as President in 1998. She was honored by the NW Louisiana SHRM chapter as the 1998 Persy Award Recipient for HR Professional of the Year. She also held the same board position with the San Diego SHRM Chapter, VP Education, in 2006. She loves being a Study Group facilitator! Carla is Lifetime SPHR certified and a National SHRM member. She became one of the first HR professionals in California to earn the SPHR-CA certification in 2007.

Carla is an avid scrapbooker, addicted to books on CD (she says she actually gets grumpy if she doesn’t have a current novel to listen to and has to resort to listening to the radio!), big fan of Nigella Express on the FoodTV channel (yummy and quick meals, who wouldn’t be a fan?), and is a single mom to her 11th-grader, Zac.
