Julie
Allison. PHR
Vice President, North Coast
Julie currently the HR Generalist for StrataCare, Inc., a software development company and has ten years of Human Resources Recruitment and Generalist experience in the High-risk Insurance Industry, Tech Industry, Higher Education, Retail Commercial Real Estate and in the Medical arena. She is proud to say that she is a native Texan with Midwestern values. Other than Texas, she has lived on both sides of the state of Missouri, in Nebraska and South Dakota.
Before entering the Human Resources profession, she was a stay at home mom, raising six children. During those years, Julie held leadership positions and was actively involved in the school district that her family lived in and had sat on several committees of a congressional campaign. Julie feels that those years of having to speak before school boards, people in the political arena, researching topics of importance, making presentations and influencing such organizations (and raising /mediating between six children), have prepared her for her career in Human Resources.
Julie received her Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management from Bellevue University in Nebraska and passed her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification in 2001. She has been a member of SHRM since 1997 and was involved in the Human Resource Association of the Midlands SHRM chapter in Omaha, Nebraska before moving to California. Julie has been an active member of SD SHRM since 2001 serving on various committees and was a part of the steering committee that formed the North Coast SD SHRM District.
This is Julie’s second year on the San Diego SHRM Board serving as Vice President of the North Coast District. She is responsible for the programming and success of this important part of SD SHRM. If you live and/or work in the North Coast area and would like to serve on the committee for North Coast, please contact Julie. She will be happy to hear from you.
Not only does Julie have six children, she has two beautiful granddaughters. When not spoiling them and not working Julie loves to read, travel, and explore what California has to offer.
