Maria R. Stallings-Ostrowski

Maria Ostrowski is the Director of HR at ISE Corporation in Poway, CA.  ISE Corporation designs, develops, and supplies hybrid drive systems for public transportation and heavy duty vehicle applications worldwide.

Maria has been an active member of the San Diego HR community for many years.  She is currently serving her fourth year on the SHRM Board of Directors.  Maria served as a Committee Chair for the 2005 SHRM National Conference which welcomed over 20,000 Human Resource professionals to San Diego.  Maria is also active in the San Diego community at large, volunteering her time with a number of community and educational outreach groups throughout the county.   Maria is the VP of Fundraising for Fostering Memories a local non profit serving foster youth in San Diego.

Born in Peru, South America, Maria grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where she attended the University of Utah while still in high school.  Maria then attended UC San Diego where she received her BA in Psychology and later obtained her certificate in Human Resources from Chapman University.

When not working, Maria enjoys being with her family, sons, Joshua (age 4) and Ryan (age 2) and husband Eric.  Whether chasing little ones around the house or park, or enjoying a BBQ and a good glass of wine, Maria enjoys spending her time with family and friends!
