Join SD SHRM on Thursday, June 8 at Noon for our webinar, The New California Criminal Conviction and Fair Pay Act Regulations – Some Practical Advice for Requesting and Managing Applicant Information

New criminal background check regulations become effective in California on July 1 that address the impact of criminal convictions on employees and applicants. This webinar will address the new regulations and a practical approach to address specific criminal convictions, job classifications, and the individualized assessment the new law will require.  As an added bonus, the webinar will also address the California ban, which became effective on January 1, 2017, on the use of a prior compensation as the sole basis for setting an employee’s compensation.

About our speaker...

Jennifer B. Rubin focuses her bi-coastal C-suite executive compensation practice on meeting the increasingly complex employment needs of executives of public and private corporations.  When she isn't negotiating employment, equity and severance arrangements, Jen leverages her 25 years of experience as a trial lawyer to help clients craft business solutions to legal problems.  While she is a zealous advocate in the courtroom, she relishes her role as counselor and focuses her practice on solving employee mobility issues, litigating wage and hour class actions, and making employment regulations accessible for her corporate clients. Jen was named San Diego Daily Transcript's 2017 list of Influential Women in San Diego.
