The Workplace Excellence Event has evolved from a great idea into an annual
celebration of the impact that exceptional HR practices can have on the success
and profitability of San Diego businesses.

This event has two primary goals:
1. Promote the HR profession and the Chief HR Officer as a strategic partner and member of the executive team.
2. Underscore the importance of the role of effective HR leadership to the successful performance of organizations.

Nominate your company as a “Great Place to Work” through this website or use the nomination advertisements in U-T San Diego. All nominations will be substantiated by applications completed by the nominated company.

Companies Categories
1. Small companies – less than 149 employees
2. Mid-size companies – 150-629 employees
3. Large companies – 630-1300 employees
4. Mega-size companies – 1301+ employees

What makes your company an excellent place to work? Is it the opportunity to grow professionally or to express your personality? Is it the company's culture or the abundance of programs it offers to help you balance your work and personal life? Or is it all of those things and something more?

A company's human resources department creates the culture that makes a company a great place to work and helps it be successful. The San Diego Society for Human Resource Management, along with U-T San Diego and SeaWorld, would like to recognize the effort HR professionals put into creating San Diego's most excellent places to work. We want to know about every HR department that contributes to their company’s success by ensuring that employees stay motivated and challenged.
