January 11, 2011 To whom it may concern, My name is Andrew Pikop, I was one of the injured Firefighters from the Cal Fire Engine 3387 which was burned over during the Harris Fire back in 2007. I just wanted to thank those from the San Diego SHRM for the donation I recently received. It was such a big help, especially during the holiday period. To my understanding, the donation was send back and forth between the State Benevolent Fund and your office, I am very grateful that the San Diego SHRM felt strongly enough to keep trying and eventually succeeded in getting the donation to the Firefighters. Good Afternoon, I was so impressed with the today’s Member Appreciation Day luncheon. Thank you to everyone who worked to provide such a special day. During the week of December l3th I presented each member with a check and a copy of your letter. All four members were in disbelief at the generosity shown by SDSHRM and said that it could not have come at a better time.
