In this presentation you'll learn the difference between sharing information and inviting employees to join a conversation.  Discover how you can advocate for HR as a trusted partner, improving the relationship between HR and the employee population you serve.  You can expect to hear about what advocacy means for us as communicators of programs & policy, who in your organization to look to for partnership, creating engagement around traditionally 'push' information, and tips to build your own HR Advocate strategy.

Allegra Kipnis is a communications professional living and working in northern New Jersey.  She is currently leading the Internal Communications strategy for Panasonic North America, HR.  Previously, she worked in competitive intelligence and strategy communications for a major telecom provider.  Allegra knows that engagement is the most important factor in retaining great talent, and that engaged workforces are made up of employees who are included in the conversation.  All of her communications include an open invitation:  Let’s talk.

When she’s not working, Allegra enjoys running and baking, and watches as many comic-book movies as she can spare time for. Although she’s been on the east coast for many years, she may never adjust to winter weather.

In 2018, Allegra completed her MBA at Rutgers Business School, and she holds her BA from the University of British Columbia.
