PAUL FALCONE

Paul Falcone is a human resources executive in Los Angeles and has held senior-level positions with Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, and Time Warner. He is a long-term contributor to HR Magazine and an instructor in the UCLA Extension School of Business and Management as well as a top-rated presenter at the SHRM national conference.

Paul is the author of nine books which address the tough and practical issues that inevitably surface in the workplace and that plague even the strongest organizations and leaders from time to time. Four of Paul's books were ranked on SHRM’s prestigious "Great 8 of 2012" and "Great 8 of 2013" bestseller listings.

JENNIFER N. LUTZ

Jennifer N. Lutz focuses her practice in employment litigation and counseling. Jennifer represents California’s employers in all aspects of employment disputes in state and federal court, and before administrative and government agencies. Jennifer has successfully litigated disputes involving issues of discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, defamation, and both individual and class action wage and hour claims.

In addition, Jennifer provides advice and training to employers on a full range of employment law issues, including drafting employment policies and procedures, terminations, and discipline.

Jennifer is also a speaker and author on issues such as wage and hour law, employee privacy, and leaves of absence.

JON DECOTEAU

Currently SHRM’s Divisional Director West and the California Field Services Leader based in Sacramento, California. Jon is responsible for leading SHRM’s West Division Field Services team; providing membership focused services for chapters and state councils of the 250,000 member global professional Human Resources Association. Based in Sacramento, he is focused on providing strategic leadership for SHRM in California and the opening of the new Sacramento Office.

With more than 25 years of human resources experience, Jon Decoteau is a Senior HR leader specializing in Business Partner Support, HR Strategy and Services. He has a proven track record of getting organizations aligned, evaluating their strengths, defining projects and then driving those global projects to completion. He has done this at The Coca-Cola Company where he led their global HR Transformation in 100+ countries, at Motorola where he tripled a software development center in 18 months and at eBay where he helped the leadership team develop their three year HR technology strategy.
