Transform Your Life and Business with the Ideal Conversational Cocktail

  7:30-8 am- Breakfast and Registration
8-9:30 am- Featured Presentation

Every time you enter a conversation, you set off a variety of chemicals that flood your body.  These chemicals signal your brain to open up or shut down to new ideas, concepts, and opportunities.   Dr. Elizabeth Fried delves into the neuroscience of conversations and how to structure the ideal conversational cocktail to increase cooperation, innovation, and productivity.  In this presentation, you will learn:

    • Specific techniques that prime for trust
    • Why it is more important to seek to connect than simply seek to understand
    • How to protect your executive brain from amygdala hijack
    • How to clear a conversational impasse and generate new ideas
    • What types of words and phrases you should say more or less of to “upregulate” or “downregulate

Dr. N. Elizabeth Fried, author, speaker, and executive coach is president of N. E. Fried and Associates, Inc, dba The Learning Engine.  Her firm was awarded the 2018 North American Business Award for Best Development & Training Services Provider – Western USA and in 2017 it received the California State Business Award for Best in Executive Coaching  & Excellence Award for Leadership Training Programs.    Additionally the firm was listed as one of the Top 15 Executive Development Companies  in the San Diego Business Journal’s Book of Lists for three consecutive years (2016-2018).  In 2012 she was ranked for three years running as among the world's top 15 most influential executive coaches by globalgurus.org.   Ms. Fried received her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University.  She served a two-year term as president of the San Diego Professional Coaches Alliance and has been repeatedly invited to speak to SHRM, PIHRA and other corporate business groups both locally and nationally. Her heart work is with The Honor Foundations doing pro bono coaching for military special operators (SEALS, Green Berets, Delta Force) and serving on the National HouseCheck Board to provide shelter and education for victims of domestic abuse.
