The San Diego Community College District offers a comprehensive range of services and benefits to veterans and their families. The Veterans Affairs Office provides support tailored to the needs of active duty military members and veterans, including priority registration to ensure they can enroll in the classes they need. The Department of Veteran Affairs offers various education benefit programs, which may include waivers for college fees or small monthly payments for children and spouses of U.S. veterans with service-connected disabilities.

Additionally, the district offers a refund policy specifically for students utilizing Military Tuition Assistance, as well as on-base classes for convenient access. For those requiring additional support, the Disability Support Programs and Services (DSPS) are available to assist veterans with disabilities, ensuring they have the necessary resources to succeed in their educational journey.

Veterans Transition Support (VTS) is a San Diego and Orange County-based all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to helping active duty service members and veterans transition to civilian life.  VTS offers job training, career development mentoring, education planning, and assistance with unemployment.  Their "Military Transition Training Program" provides free professional certification courses and resources at locations including Camp Pendleton.  Through partnerships with Easter Seals and VetCTAP, VTS ensures participants receive individualized employment support, including resume writing and interview preparation.
