There’s no place like a community of HR leaders and practitioners coming together to learn, share, and grow. We’re inviting YOU — passionate HR professionals, educators, and learning facilitators — to share your wisdom and inspire the next generation of HR professionals at this year’s conference!

SHRM San Diego is excited to present our 2026 Annual Conference on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at The Prado in Balboa Park. Our theme is “There’s No Place Like HR”. Like Dorothy and her companions, our attendees are seeking Courage, Heart, Wisdom, and practical guidance to thrive in our ever-changing workplaces.

If your topic aligns with this theme and is relevant to the HR community, we invite you to submit your proposal and be a part of this journey.

Session Expectations

All sessions need to meet the curriculum and standards for SHRM Professional Development Credits (SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP) and HR Certification Institute recertification credit (PHR, SPHR, and GPHR).

Selection Criteria

Relevance of topic to theme of conference
Topic meets the needs of the target audience
Expert level and knowledge of content
Video submission optional but may influence selection

Speaker Information

Presenters are expected to share their expertise without compensation in the spirit of giving back to the HR community.

This conference provides a valuable opportunity to build visibility, connect with decision-makers, and expand your professional network.
