HR Can Drive Social Change In The Workplace

The workplace has tremendous potential to manifest the social change essential for communities to rise above the  racial bias and social injustice in this country and move forward. Your business relies on you to lead the charge as change agents against workplace bias.

Achieving equity at work can have an immeasurable impact on the larger equity crisis in America. But it’s often metwith deep-rooted, unconscious bias and disconnects in workplace culture. This kind of transformation takes commitment and courage and—most of all—your expertise as an HR professional.

Do we really know how our employees feel about racial issues in the workplace? We invest in unconscious bias and other  DE&I trainings, but some organizations need to step back and gain a better view of where their people are before embarking on prescriptive solutions. For example, why are Black workers feeling devalued and marginalized at concerning rates?
