This educational seminar will discuss how workplace violence continues to impose more responsibilities and liabilities on California employers, with employer’s being potentially liable for their employees’ actions, even when such acts are intentional and not within the scope of employment. In addition, it will cover preventive measures and provide insight on creating a response plan that focuses on safety and recovery from workplace violence. The seminar will also touch on the legalization of recreational cannabis and provide you with a crash course in the basics of hiring and drug testing. To conclude the session, Fisher Phillips attorney, Christine Baran will discuss social media in the workplace and best practices to ensure employee productivity without invading employee privacy.
