Are you ready for a leadership role? Consider volunteering your time as one of our Board Members. This year-long commitment is vital to keeping the organization at the forefront of the Human Resource field. The San Diego SHRM Board of Directors defines its critical role within the organization as:
Upholding San Diego SHRM's vision, purpose and values;
Setting the broad policies, direction and priorities of the organization;
Ensuring that San Diego SHRM has highly effective leadership;
Providing fiduciary oversight; and
Maintaining the integrity of San Diego SHRM services and products developed for the benefit of our members.

Help lead the SHRM-S/CP and/or PHR/SPHR certification prep classes. Facilitators receive a small stipend for their time and up to 20 HRCI credits.
veteran Career Transition Assistance Program (VetCTAP)
Do you want to volunteer and give back to your community by helping those who have served our country? The Veteran Career Transition Assistance Program (VetCTAP) is a free eight-module workshop series for active duty military, veterans and spouses of all branches of the military that are entering the civilian job market. The modules provide hands-on training, coaching and tools to prepare participants for a successful transition. What makes VetCTAP successful is YOU, the HR Professional. Most facilitators and coaches are HR practitioners and many are SD SHRM members.
